We’ve heard the odd, unsubstantiated rumor circling for a while surrounding Colin Farrell potentially playing Artemis Fowl Sr.
It would make sense… he’s Irish, has a history with Disney (Saving Mr Banks, Dumbo) and many have remarked he certainly looks the part with the trademark jet-black Fowl hair.
We thought they were just that – rumors. But recently, he has ‘magicked’ his way onto the cast list for ‘Artemis Fowl’ on IMDB. Whilst this isn’t 100% confirmation, it feels very concrete.
What do you think? Would Colin Farrell make a good Artemis Fowl Senior? Are we going to be seeing him in a few flashback scenes, or will he play a more important role in the first movie?

But Artemis Fowl I isn’t in the first book!
If AF Senior will be in the movie there will be a nice story, but not the first book,am I right?
It may incorporate flashbacks OR, if previous reports hold up, the film will combine books 1 and 2.
Right. At the start when AF1 walks out, then we see the heli taking off, I reckon they are different scenes. I’m thinking the heli taking off is Arte after he walks out with his long coat. And when we see the heli flying over the water, what is the little blob flying along side? A Fairy pod?
It doesn’t make sense!
I think that the movie can be beautiful or awful,it all depends how much of the first book they kept.
