There have been smatterings of information popping up over the past few months surrounding the upcoming “Fowl Twins” books, due to debut some time next year. We thought we’d go over all of the information we have so far, so everyone has an idea of what to expect!
When can we expect the new books?
Whilst we don’t have a solid release date, we expect the first in the planned two books will release around February 2020. The first book will be titled “The Fowl Twins,” and a currently untitled sequel a year later in February 2021. The books will be published by Disney-Hyperion in the US and HarperCollins in the UK
What is “The Fowl Twins” about?
Stephanie Lurie, editor-at-large at Disney-Hyperion, acquired and will edit the books in the U.S. “The Fowl Twins books will transport readers right back to the world of Artemis Fowl with their trademark humor, high-tech gadgetry, and unforgettable human and fairy characters,” Lurie said in a statement. “The contrast between Myles and Beckett is hilarious in itself!”
The plot summary currently stands as: “Artermis Fowl’s younger twin brothers, Myles and Beckett, after being left alone for just one night, must save a troll from a nefarious nobleman and an interrogating nun–each of whom need the magical creature for their own gain.
“I am delighted to be back in the world of fairies, magic, and criminal masterminds, and I could not be more pleased that Disney and HarperCollins, two wonderful publishers with whom I share a long and fruitful history, are going to unleash the Fowl twins on the world. I cannot wait for a whole new generation of readers to immerse themselves in the magical adventures of Myles and Beckett,” said Eoin Colfer.
Will Artemis & Friends be in the books?
Eoin Colfer told AFC in our 2018 interview that Artemis will be involved but not in the way we might think – in a very apt, but unusual, way. So will all of the characters – however this is the Myles and Beckett show. They’re really solid characters.

The article you linked is from December and the image banner is CONSTANTLY in email updates. This was an ignorant reply Matt and hurts the actual artist when reposting sites like weheartit are credited.

Hi Ashley – there is no malice or anything of the sort here.
This is a fan-run site with me being the only one managing it, and I miss things sometimes – I updated this article (which is where the overwhelming majority of visitors come to read content) with the correct link quite some time ago, but the e-mail image was overlooked. It will be updated (or removed if there’s enough new news to push it far enough down) for the next e-mail run at some point in the future.
