Ferdia Shaw is Artemis Fowl in Disney’s ARTEMIS FOWL, an adventure directed by Kenneth Branagh that finds 12-year-old genius Artemis Fowl in a battle of strength and cunning against a powerful, hidden race of fairies.
Ladies and gentlemen… we’ve been waiting for 17 years since the first book was released, and three years since Disney announced that an adaptation was in the works… and here it is. The first teaser trailer and poster for Disney’s Artemis Fowl (2019), releasing August 9th.
I still wish some of the characters’ actors/actresses would’ve been more accurate to the books (like, at all for a couple), but it looks nice nonetheless. I’m excited for parts, at least.
I was all ready to decipher the Gnommish on Artemis’ goggles but it’s been altered? The only letter that looks remotely like the Gnommish alphabet is the character that looks like paired “n’s”.
I love the entire trailer, my only complaint is that Artemis’s eyes are not brown, they are a pale blue. But I love the letters at the end and the dramatic sensation it creates.

Finally, I’ve been waiting over a decade for this.
I thought they’d say: “Stay back, human. You don’t know what you’re dealing with.”
But it’s beautiful nonetheless <3

Haven is exactly like I imagined, but I’m afraid they’ve ruined it…. :(
