Artemis Fowl is headed to Disney+ on June 12th! Yes – you read that right – June 12th!
After an initial near two-decade wait, then a delay to the official release… then a worldwide pandemic closing cinemas across the world, Disney’s Artemis Fowl will debut on the Disney+ streaming service on June 12th, 2020.
With the announcement comes a new 60 second trailer. We’ll be working on a full breakdown of this (along with the last two teasers!) very soon, however you can clearly see Butler shooting Holly out of the air and Holly punching Artemis – so that’s kidnapping confirmation and “Holly punches Artemis in the nose” confirmation! It seems like Artemis is stealing Holly to locate a fairy object not for ransom. However, my personal hope is that Artemis’s father stole an artifact and after he goes missing Artemis finds the artifact (probably the acorn). Through this Artemis finds the fairy world and thinks the a fairy took his father because he stole the acorn. and Artemis is basically like “well I’m gonna steal a fairy” partly for revenge but mostly for money.
Also, I love your breakdowns and I was wondering when the one for this trailer was going to be up. Not to be pushy just so I stop checking my youtube every ten minutes.

Question: are you guys going to bring up the release of the Art and Making of Artemis Fowl? I got it, and it’s pretty great! The interior of the house is absolutely beautiful! I’m using it for reference for a Fowl-themed Minecraft world, cringe worthy, I know. I just want to see it in the flesh! (or pixels).

I really can’t wait, when Holly punches Artemis is just like I imagined.
I actually was watching the Disney Family Singalong on ABC (which was when they released the date). I was so excited because my family has Disney+ and I couldn’t wait to see the movie.
From what I understand from this trailer is that Artemis kidnapped Holly and she escapes from her cell. Later, for some reason, Artemis changes his demand from gold to assistance, or assistance was all he asked in the first place. I’m quite bummed that it’s only streaming on Disney+. Hope they release it soon afterwards.
I’ve been waiting most of my life for an Artemis Fowl movie and this is what they give me? Every trailer just makes it worse and worse. I’m still holding out hope that they cancel it all together. If they don’t then I just hope it bombs so hard they never consider making another one. Like, I hope it bombs even harder than Jem & The Holograms did in 2015.

Even if Disney ruins the rest of the plot and everything (which I’m still hopeful they won’t after watching the 90-minute trailer breakdown), I will watch this solely to see Artemis getting punched by Holly. The reason he’s getting punched may be a bit different, but it”s a punch none-the-less.
